Once New York City native Janina McCormack realized her true calling for real estate, she wasted no time leaping headfirst into the business. Despite only transitioning into her career as an agent in 2019, Janina has already had a meteoric rise to the top and is now a lauded member of the Joe Tirone team at Compass’s Staten Island office.
By positioning herself with a great team and taking advantage of every opportunity available to her, Janina has already managed to cultivate a reputation for excellence. She easily adapts to the unique needs of each sale and client, working diligently to find simple solutions to each problem that arises.
Real estate and fine art have always been Janina’s true calling, especially since architecture is part of her family’s legacy. Her grandfather, Ulrich Huberty, designed notable Brooklyn landmarks like the Prospect Park Boathouse and Hotel Bossert. Her connections extend to Tribeca, Washington Heights, and Staten Island, with her family members strewn throughout the region.
She has an intimate knowledge of Brooklyn and Manhattan, the communities she currently serves. Though she helps people across all demographics, her niche is working with professionals in their mid-30s and 40s who own homes and earn above $150k a year. Janina’s clients find her to be patient, committed, and knowledgeable.
Determined, helpful, and professional, Janina has an innate ability to put her clients at ease and dive into the trickiest parts of each deal with confidence. They appreciate her ability to strategize and negotiate. She is also skilled at home staging, a tribute to her fine arts background.
Before beginning her real estate career, Janina received her bachelor’s degree from Hunter’s College and her MFA in fine arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is an internationally exhibited and award-winning artist—a testament to her talent. At 17, Janina accepted a prestigious internship at the NYC City Hall, where she honed her sense of professionalism, along with forging essential connections.
Janina currently resides in Staten Island with her two adorable twin boys. On sunny days, she loves taking them to the local playground and getting involved with her local community.
